10-Second Tip – An Enjoyable Dexterity Builder

Here is another 10-second tip for you to enjoy…

It’s all about combining a silly phrase and a few Chords.

Here we go…

The “Bindex” chord progression

I’ve talked about “Bindex” chords before.

In case you don’t know, “Bindex” chords are my silly name for playing chords where you do NOT use the index finger.

Basically, you play chords with only the middle, ring, and pinkie fingers.

So, the name comes from the fact you are doing this…

You are essentially putting the index finger in the bin/trash (not literally, of course) hence the daft name, “Bindex”.

Now then, as well as practising one chord at a time like this…

It’s a good idea to practise a whole Chord Progression using this technique.

You could take any chord progression, of course, and try it like this.

A good one to use though, is the G-D-Em-C chord progression.

It’s a really common one which has a really nice feel and flavour to it.

So, try it today.

See if you can play the G-D-Em-C chords without the index finger!

Just take your time, work on one chord at a time and build it up.
