The art of Fishing MMOs is one that can be anything from yawn-inducing boredom to reaction-testing anticipation. Lost Ark has its own special twist on how to fish and gamers will need to decide for themselves if the activity is a riot or another great way to fall asleep at the keyboard.
Lost Ark’s Fishing, like all of the other Trade Skills, requires unlocking before it can be used. Players in Lost Ark can harvest materials ad fishing is one of these Trade Skills. By fishing in local lakes, rivers, and other bodies of water, players can acquire delights such as fish and their rarity, pearls, and other aquatic stuff.
How to Fish in Lost Ark
On the Map, you can only Fish in locations that have the Fish Hook Icon above it. Go to that location in the game and you should be able to Fish there. You will have to just take out your Fishing Rod by pressing E (or whichever key you have it assigned). Before you do this, make sure you have the Fishing Rod equipped by selecting it from the Trade Skill Menu (press L). If you don’t have it then go and get it.
To reel in a fish, press the 'E' key again when the bobber goes fully down. Do not be fooled by a slight bob on the line as a fish approaches, the bobber must be fully submerged. Catch three fish successfully, then click on the mission on the right to complete it. Fishing will not be unlocked for the remainder of the game!
Fishing Skills
Your fishing level will increase as you fish more. By progressing through the Skill Tree, you’ll eventually acquire the Fishing Skills. Here is a list of the Skills you can unlock, along with their levels.
First Level:Pole Fishing
Tenth Level:Throw Bait
Twentieth Level:Catch Fishing
Thirtieth Level:Net Fishing
