It’s been happening for years at live shows, but according to some in the modern era, it’s just way too much to have Audience Members faint at live events. The reason? Law suits. Back in the day fans at concerts fainted, got trampled, beaten up, worse yet, abused backstage. But back then fans didn’t have easy access to social media and get thousands of people whom they’ve never and will never meet to get all riled up and cause a stink. The latest victim of this type of star abuse is Harry Styles, who recently had to cancel shows due to fans fainting.

As per The Daily Mail UK, Harry Styles, the man who dresses like an early version of Elton John minus the oversized sunglasses, was forced to pause a live concert on Sunday in a bid to protect the crowd after eight audience members fainted. This was probably due to lack of oxygen while being confined in a small space.

Video footage from the event shows the singer, Styles, 28, asking concertgoers in Bogotá, Colombia to move back slowly to stop additional fans from being crushed against the handrails.

The former One Direction star said: ‘I am very excited to be here, and I know today is going to be an amazing show.

‘But the most important thing is that everyone in here is safe, because there are a lot of people in here and it’s warm.’

Thank goodness he had the common sense to see what was happening. I dread to think what security at the event was like. Fortunately, they were on the ball enough to not allow anyone into the show who could have caused serious damage. The lesson here: Hire the right security and all will be well.
