On the album, Badu is the featured vocalist and lyricist on this track, built around Miles Davis's song "Maiysha" and incorporating Miles's actual trumpet solo. But in the video, she becomes the comically self-absorbed diva Sarah Bellam, who is about to perform with her pianist/lover, "Roberto" Glasper, on a typical TV variety show of the 1960s. The setting fits the song perfectly — the lyrics have a subtle wit and the music evokes the Brazilian pop of groups like Brasil 66. And the sly intro to the actual song is a hoot
