Zanzinger – “Seasonal Winds”

Swift woodwinds and twangy guitars accompany the warm vocals of Daniel Micsoda on the track “Seasonal Winds,” the latest release from Zanzinger. Micsoda is a Budapest-based artist who fronts the project, taking inspiration from “American folk genres, experimental jazz and literary focus on English romanticism and American transcendentalism.” The dense imagery, woodwinds, and stirring vocals remind of classics from Van Morrison and Cat Stevens, while also injecting a modern charm. The guitar solo at 03:15 is particularly effective, serving as a nice bridge from the more serene folk-leaning verses. “Seasonal Winds” is a success that’s the audible equivalent of a fresh, warm breeze on a spring day.

“Seasonal Winds” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of January 2019’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Indie Folk.
