The stops on Drake’s Summer Sixteen tour have been star-studded affairs, with Drizzy invited everybody from Kanye West to Rihanna and Eminem on stage with him. He’s also used the tour and the comfort of the stage and being surround by his adoring fans to take more shots at his foes. Be it rappers, or entire radio stations he has used the platform to crush his foes.
His stop in Washington D.C. on Saturday night was no different, as the 6 God took aim at his old pal, Meek Mill. After already besting his rival last summer, Drake has continuously poked the “corpse” and stood over boastfully. The track he used to put the final nail in the coffin, “Back To Back,” is a mainstay on his setlist, so he’s gone city to city laughing in Meek’s face about prenups, Nicki Minaj tours, and the like. He even took it one step further in D.C., calling the Philadelphia MC out by his name. For whatever reason, Drake changed the bar, “You still ain’t did sh*t about the other one,” to “P*ssy still ain’t did sh*t about the other one.”
Always calculated, the jab comes a night before Drake is set to take his tour to Philadelphia, for what is sure to be a contentious night full of surprises, as Mr. Hotline Bling never misses a chance to up his pettiness to legendary levels. Oh, and Tory Lanez should enjoy Drake’s descent into the city of brotherly love.
