Curren$y And Tiny C-Style Are The Smoothest ‘Gangstaz’ In The Jam

The perennial Sixth Man of the Year and connoisseur of all things dope might have just dropped a project but he is already Dropping more product. Curren$y spun a few paper planes up with C-Style to remind us that “Gangstaz” make the world go round on this cut taken from the latter’s Long Beach State of Mine. Sprinkling in some hiss, crackle and pop from Cookin’ Soul, this joint is too smooth to pass up on.

From Friday references to Franklin’s insistence that he’s bout his paper and not out here chasing skirts, this is another solid cut for the ever-expanding Curren$y catalog. If he hasn’t already for a few in the vaults, it’s worth mentioning how smooth a few EPs could be between Cookin’ Soul and Spitta.

“Four-wheelers at the compound
Watching the sun go down, high top my money mound
Pitch like Craig threw that brick – cracked Deebo in his shit”

As Canal Street Confidential continues to burn and The Owner’s Manual hits its stride in rotation, there was no indication where this record will land. Combined with Alchemist announcing that him and Spitta are dropping a new project on Valentine’s Day called The Carlton Heist, we’ve gotta start asking whether Franklin has ever suffered from a green hangover or considered taking a week off from studio visits.

Curren$y and myself have new project. It is finished. You will hear it very soon.
