Boomtown Reveal 200 Acts For Their 10 Year Anniversary

Ten years later, and Boomtown Fair unveil one of the most appealing festival lineups in the UK.

While most festivals seem to fall into the trap of booking the same artist that fall on the BBC circuit, Boomtown proves, again, why it stands out as one of the leading festivals. Following the announcement of headliners Gorillaz, the Festival in Winchester, Hampshire have announced a further 200 acts to perform in 2018.

Joining Gorillaz in the headline roles are the mind-boggling Die Antwoord, and the iconic rap-rockstar Limp Bizkit. Then Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, Jimmy Cliff, Amadou & Mariam, Sleaford Mods, Enter Shikari, The Skatalites, Morcheeba, Goldie & The Heritage Ensemble thicken up the supporting slots. If that’s not enough the leaders or their scenes, Napalm Death, Shy Fx, and Ghetts will also join the celebrations in the districts for 10th Chapter.

After losing my Boomtown virginity in 2017 (Chapter 9), it was clear Boomtown is the only festival challenging Glastonbury for production. Now this year, with headliners like these, the festival is challenging everyone on a sonic level. For an idea of what to expect, here’s their official Chapter 10 trailer:

Amazingly, tickets are still on sale; although Tier 1 and Tier 2 have sold out. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the madness in the fields in August (9-12). Get Tier 3 tickets here and see the latest line up below.
