Yardlander take you on a rollercoaster of energy and emotion with their latest single ‘Straight Light’.

Made up of Oscar Koronka, Kit Gallagher, Tom Hill and Will Pickering, Yardlander have delved into new intense depths with this latest offering.

For those of you who have never heard of Yardlander before, they are a London based four-piece delivering musical stylings similar to early noughties Radiohead, with guitar driven build in their tracks comparative to Biffy Clyro.

These newcomers are bringing something refreshingly new and different to the music scene with their single ‘Straight Light’; if you searched for the definition of an anthemic builder, you’d find this song. Starting slow and subtle, the listener is consumed in melancholic guitar melodies and calming drum patterns, as front-man Oscar Koronka’s gripping vocals add a soothing touch to the track.

As playful hints of strings present themselves in the second verse and chorus, you’re suddenly hit full pelt with gut-wrenching guitar riffs, harder drum beats and mesmerising guitar solos; this intertwined with the groove of the bass lines, we are left speechless as the song goes full circle with a slow tranquil end. It’s an addictive track taking you on a rollercoaster from calm to high energy within a matter of minutes.

Yardlander pack a punch in their latest single showing real promise for the future and with an upcoming EP on the way, we cannot wait to see what they have in store.
