Californian trio, MUNA, sell out Philadelphia’s Johnny Brenda’s on the ‘About U’ album release tour with a pertinent message in solidarity with the LGBT community.
Californian trio MUNA have been taking over the world by storm as of late. It could be because of their incredible new album, ‘About U’. Or it could be the fact that they have something important to say. Something big to say about this show is the safe atmosphere that surrounded everyone there, often not found at many shows these days or in public spaces anymore.
One of MUNA’s show agreements included all restrooms be made gender neutral, allowing everyone in attendance to feel as one. It’s especially important that bands today make a stand about our rights, whether it’s women’s rights or gay rights, LGBT, immigration, politics etc. MUNA is one of those bands that use their voices and actions to make a stand and I hope they continue to rattle some cages as they continue to grow in notoriety, deservedly selling out shows across America and elsewhere.
