Before I Met You

Before I Met You

With music written by Elmer Rader, country performer and song writer from Cincinnati, who later founded Lucky Records, and lyrics by Chuck Seitz, Before I Met You was released in 1953. The first recording featured Joe Cannonball Lewis, and was released the same year.

An instant classic among fans of country, folk and bluegrass, “Before I Met You” has been the epicenter of incredible musical nods and re-creations, with my personal favorite being Dolly Parton with Porter Wagonerand, and quickly rising star of sweet melody, Sierra Ferrell.
