What first drew you into music?

When I first heard the college drop out album by Kanye West. My favorite Song is called “we don’t care” and kids were singing the chorus I think I was 11 years old at the time.

Listening to your music we can tell you love incorporating interesting new sounds and techniques within each track! What inspires you to experiment and evolve?

I Love catchy Music with melody especially when there is rap involved. So when I write or even freestyle the melody comes first. I think being in control of my music is what allows me to be most creative. Back in 2016 I taught myself how to use logic and since then I been engineering all of my own music. I’ve created 5 projects and they are all on SoundCloud. Vol 1 through 5.

It seems like you already found your signature sound. Do you have any tips for upcoming musicians that can’t seem to find their own sound?

Thank you, I remember when I first started I used to go to different studios and pay up to 50$ and hour for songs and come home like this is not how I want it to sound at all! That is what made me learn how to mix my own music and is what led to me finding that sound. My tip for other artists are don’t waste your money on people who won’t work as hard as you, do it yourself! I learned in 3 months watching YouTube videos with a laptop, 60$ microphone, and some studio headphones! If you look at the cover art of my first project Vol 1, it’s literally me in my tiny room recording off an iPhone. That’s how It all started lol.

Your track “No Time To Be Wasting” is your best track in our opinion! From its artwork to the incredibly powerful sound we absolutely love it. Could you tell us more about the story behind this track? Also, what is your creative process like?

This song is super cool because at this time I started working with other artist who lived in the area. I’m from Bushwick New York and there is so much talent out here. I had a studio that we rented for almost all of last year and I would record everyone’s music there because the quality was much better than being in my room. The whole Vol 5 is a collab project we made and my friend Koze is the one singing the chorus on no time to be wasting while I’m on the verse. We would all go to the studio every night and play a bunch of instrumentals off YouTube and whenever we found one we liked we would write to it and start recording. I remember we were super pumped up when we made this song we knew it was dope!

What are your musical goals for the future?

I recently just had a baby girl and because music has yet to pay the bills I kind of been forced to take a break from it. Sometimes you just gotta get your stuff together then get right back into it. I think it will give me a new perspective on my music and a lot more to talk about in my songs. My musical goals are to have a lot more visuals I think I have tons of music so now I’ll work on music videos and promotion and all that good stuff that comes with the music business lol aka the hard part.

What do you have planned for the coming months? Any upcoming projects we can get excited about?

Right now I have Vol 6 completely finished, I’m going to release that on SoundCloud very soon before the year ends. In 2020 my plans are to drop an album that will go on all streaming services, the album is actually finished as well. I plan on releasing with visuals and I’m going to try and be smarter with how to promote that one. I really just want to encourage everyone who’s finding out about me to go back and listen to the old stuff. Vol 1 through 6 are projects that I made capturing moments of my life dealing with break ups, depression, losing friends to the system, never giving up on what I love and just finding myself and constantly trying to grow as a person. It’s like my very own diary. I’ll probably be 50 years old one day listening to Vol 31 just because I love turning my best moments and my emotions into music, that’s where my best work and inspiration comes from.
