What first drew you into music?
Honestly id say me being introduced to Music as an outlet for stress, at any time I was put through a stressful situation Id have my earbuds and a Ipod fully charged ready to play music just to get lost in the waves of reality. While growing up I noticed I noticed that Id improve in almost any task while listening to rap, rock, alternative, dubstep and electronic. My favorite artist were xxxtentacion, Kendrick lamar, Jcole, Jayz, Eminem, Mac miller, the game, tupac, 21 pilots, green day, kings of leon, lincoln park, coldplay, skrillex, deadmau5, some bring me the horizon david guetta and a lot more. If I kept going with this list I probably wouldnt finish any time soon.
Your track “I Have A Heart” is absolutely amazing! How did you achieve such a great signature sound in such a short time? Also, what is your creative process like?
I was going through a recent heartbreak and was told that i didnt have a heart and it seemed as if I had no care for anybody. Due to the fact I have a hard time relating my feelings to others when they need to hear it, that night I just decided to write it down hoping theyd understand what i was trying to convey but would not have the guts to do so in person, so in song I thought would be the best way to show it.
Id say my creative process has to do something with a spirit inside me that speaks to me when im alone. A spirit that haunts me with negative and positive thoughts through out its appearance, oftenly nuetral. It shows me things that I can show others and when it does it always presents itself in the form of myself but in blue. Something crazy I know but it is true. This spirit shows me things of my old self something he wish he did, (not saying im old cause im not!). Im just saying its like a personality that use to exist in me my enjoyment in life Something I Ponder which is the reason why I named myself Ponder the ghost.
Going over your Soundcloud we can tell you love experimenting with new sounds. Can you tell us more about your studio setup and some of your favorite plugins/instruments?
For my studio set up honestly its nothing out of the ordinary nothing special at all tbh. All I have is my room, my Snowball mic, a dell computer e7440, Audacity update 2.1.2 and myself. For plug ins all I use is compressor, echo, reverb, treble boost and A.M radio as my favorite plug in for my songs. Oh yeah! Almost forgot, I also use alot of pitch changer which comes in useful to show the bad side of the spirit that speaks to me.
Your music sounds very organic and authentic. Do you play any real-life instruments?
I do not.
What are your musical goals for the future?
My musical goals for the future is to see where it leads me honestly.I have no idea that people would even like my songs or even reach out to me and Im more than honored to be on HBT, I guess all i can say is hope to make it big one day but will never show my face.
What are your goals for the coming months? Any upcoming projects we can get excited about?
Within these next few months I plan on mainly saving more money to get great quality materials for my art, networking to show more people what I can do and make a new album pretty soon as well. I just hope to see if the world will hear me out and here what i have to say. As long as you get the chance to give me a shot than Thankful is all I can be!
