Wow, 2017 was a big year for me (well, just like every year). I just want to take a look back and thank some people for making it extra special.
Last year was the last year I used the home school curriculum A.C.E. Ministries. I have used it for the majority of my schooling prior to college. Thank you so much for educating me those years. The curriculum is so based upon the Word of God, it is so amazing!!! Thank you for training so many students in the Word of God. Thank you so very much!
Now I am attending Liberty University and I just first want to thank the school as a whole! Your mission to train champions for Christ is amazing and you are a leading force for impacting the world. Thank you and I am super excited to be part of the university!
Maybe I will tackle my Liberty thank you's right now.
First off, I want to thank the professors and GSAs who worked so hard to teach us and to grade our work. I know it was a lot to take care of. Thank you for teaching me amazing things and for fairly grading my work. It means a whole lot.
To the Office of Spiritual Development, thank you for doing your absolute best to keep us close and connected to Jesus. I know some are entering a more spiritual environment, and some, like me, a relatively less spiritual environment. Thank you for doing your absolute best for keeping us close to the Lord Jesus Christ. I Love convocation and I love the fact we are getting different perspectives. (I do wish we as a student body could discuss what we heard, especially in a more civil way. But I love talking about what I heard on my Anchor station, so if you want to discuss what you hear, feel free to call in!)
I have talked to David Nasser a couple times and I just want to thank you for being so kind and inclusive and for the prayers! It means so much! Can't wait to sit down and talk with you!
To President and First Lady Falwell, thank you so very much for your kindness! Our family have bumped into them a few times and they have been very kind and gracious. Thank you for allowing my sister to light up campus; that was incredible!!! And thank you for your hard work to make Liberty better than ever!
I have met many many students during my first semester at Liberty. At the risk of either invading privacy or sounding selective, I want to thank them all for being awesome! Continue to rely on the Lord for direction!
Let me tie that into my friends at church. I have so many friends at church and I am meeting more and more. I am so thankful for these awesome people who have encouraged me so so much! Thank you for continuing to be my friend even though I always talk about Music and Anchor. Also to the leadership at the church for their commitment to the Word of God and all the times they've prayed for me. Thank you so very much!!!
Quick shout out goes to Taylor! I met him on the first of 2017 and he has impacted my life in an incredible way. It is amazing getting to know you and blessings for your marriage and Marine career.
To those who are on Anchor, such as Celestria, Ike, Jase, Travis, Hillary, and so many others, I want to thank you so very much for being so very supportive! It means so much and I will continue to support you people! (Y'alls better not miss out on Celestria's covers, Ike's brand new station on important topics, Jase's books, and Travis' mission work updates and Bible studies!)
Also to those who still read my blog (or recently started reading), thank you for sticking with me these past three years. It has been so amazing and I will continue as long as I feel like God wants me to. It is like an online journal and it is so interesting to see how I have evolved. I see I was outspoken, but now I see I need to be tactful. I was childish, but I am maturing. So many more things and the Lord is just working on me!
Also to the friends I still communicate with, especially Chris Green, thank you so much for the constant support and encouragement. It means so very much to me!
Since I am a huge music fan, I do want shout out some artists.
First off, I want to shout out ApologetiX! Your mission to "Teach The Lost, Reach The Rest" these past 25 years is amazing! Crazy it has been 25 years! May God bless and sustain you for much more!!! It was so awesome seeing y'alls in concert and meeting you guys! What an awesome night.
Skillet, those Unleashed Beyond tracks are growing on me! It has been a great year rocking out to your music and ringing in the New Year at Winterfest this year! You guys rocked!!!
Carmen Justice, you released an incredible EP this year! I love it so much and I hope it is impacting so many people! I so can't wait for your future releases!
The Young Escape, I am so excited for your future! It is going to be so incredible seeing you impact the Kingdom. Can't wait for the Album and I hope to see you live soon!
Holly Starr, it has been an honor supporting you on Kickstarter! It was a ton of fun seeing the blessings being poured down upon you during the past few days. It was amazing! Great EP!
RED, though the experience wasn't the prettiest, it was still a huge honor to pre-order the album via PledgeMusic! I so love the album and it is amazing! I have it on repeat like crazy! Thank you so much for encouraging me!
I was asked to review albums from Mandisa and Jeremy Camp, and they were wonderful surprises. Mandisa, your album encouraged me so much and I love it lots. And Jeremy, I pray that your latest album will be an inspiration and encouragement to so many people!
I always like promoting independent artists as much as possible I found a couple gems this year.
Via NoiseTrade, I found Hannah Holloway and Charis. They have amazing EPs that really touched me. Simply proclaiming the name of Jesus in beautiful ways! Thank you for all that hard work and for blessing others.
Also via NoiseTrade did I find out about Verses. These songs are such a blessing and I am so happy you are blessing the world with them! May God bless you.
Gabe Miller, I have thoroughly been enjoying your music this year! It's been a ton of fun and may the Lord make your path clear.
Also, it was a blessing to see Meredith Andrews, for KING & COUNTRY, ApologetiX, Vegan Llamas, CJ King, Social Club Misfits, Mac Powell, Atlas Rhodes, Young Oceans, Chris Tomlin, Ryan Stevenson, Zach Williams, Andy Mineo, wordsplayed, and Skillet (and potentially others that I can't remember at the moment) live this year!
So many other music artists that I can thank, but I will leave it at that for now.
My family has been very supportive, especially during my college days. I will continue to be a team member, whether easy or hard, and trust that God's got us!
Last, but not least, I am so thankful to my wonderful God for being so wonderful, duh! You have directed me to green pastures and so much more!
