What to Do When You Can’t Smule?

Over the last two weeks, with a mix of Christmas, a horrible cold and internet issues, getting on to Smule Sing! has been virtually impossible. To be honest, if I’d managed to make it, given the sore throat, it probably wouldn’t have sounded so great! Anyone with the Smule Sing! bug knows how terrible it is when you can’t Smule for some reason. So, what do you do when you can’t Smule?

Can’t Smule and Feeling Bad….

I feel guilty because I haven’t even had the chance to listen to songs in the GVU Listening Lounge, or any tagged songs. However, I haven’t expected anything of anyone else, so I guess it’s not too bad. However, these are my Smule families, I need to connect with them the only way we all know how. If I can’t Smule, we can’t sing together.

Smule Obsession

Many Smuleans know the obsessive call of Smule Sing! Just one more OC, just one more join… before you know it, it’s 1am. @lovemusicsing1

It can be a real problem for some. These days we all lead such busy lives, finding quiet time to sing uninterrupted doesn’t always come easily. I’ve heard a few stories about users who get yelled at  by partners or kids for singing too loudly in the middle of the night!

When Do I Sing?

Personally, Thursday and Friday evenings are usually when I’m most available to sing. I do try to listen to group music on a daily basis though. I can do this as I’m going about my chores. If I  saved all the listening for the same time, I’d never get round to any singing. I have a good couple of hours listening to catch up on as I type this. I suppose if I can’t Smule due to illness, at least I can still listen. If my internet connection allows of course!

At Least it Was the Holidays…

Because it’s been a busy, family filled time, I haven’t had too much time to dwell on the fact I can’t Smule. Usually by now I’d be itching to get back on. I’m debating with myself how long I should wait for my voice to recover following the sore throat. I know if I strain it straight away it will undoubtedly take much longer to truly recover. But can I hold out? I’m not sure to be honest. I have a quiet couple of evenings ahead of me….

What do you do if you can’t Smule? How obsessed are you?
