Gap's Latest Campaign Stars Include SZA & Metro Boomin For The 'Archive Reissue - Logo Remix' Collection

Gap has announced the launch of ‘Archive Reissue - Logo Remix'. A collection for men and women highlighting the iconic Gap logo which has represented the heritage of the brand and relevance in culture for decades. The 'Logo Remix' collection includes signature Gap styles which T-shirts, sweatshirts, and rugby shirts all designed with logos from throughout the years.
For the 'Archive Reissue – Logo Remix' collection Gap has collaborated with Tabitha Denholm, who has directed music videos for Florence and the Machine, Haim and Jessie J, along with performance and movement director Tanisha Scott, who is renowned for her work with Beyoncé, Drake and Rihanna, to create the ‘Logo Remix’ film. This video pays homage to the vintage Gap ads of previous times, but with a fresh, reworked twist. Tanisha Scott choreographed a dance sequence that includes remixed versions of unforgettable group dances including “The Wobble,” “Cha Cha,” and “Kid-n-Play.”
‘Logo Remix’ features a cast of international and influential talent who are involved in music, acting, comedy, activism or perhaps just being a powerful and expressive voice in today’s society. This impressive list includes the Grammy-nominated singer Sza, Netflix's '13 Reasons Why' actor Miles Heizer, outspoken British TV & radio presenter Maya Jama and go-to-Producer Metro Boomin who is responsible for some of the biggest recent hits for Future, Migos, Big Sean and Post Malone, and many more.
Sza and Metro Boomin remixed the music for the film. Working with the iconic ‘80s anthem ‘Hold Me Now’ by British Band the Thompson Twins, off the “Into the Gap” album, Metro Boomin updated the original version with his signature 808 beats. The ultra-hip track will be available across all music streaming sites from January 25th.
Craig Brommers, Chief Marketing Officer for Gap comments, “Following the strong consumer and social interest in our ‘90s Archive Reissue’ from last year, we are launching the Logo Remix Collection by looking forward at the talent who are reshaping and remixing culture in their own way,” he continued,
“Gap is always one to celebrate and bring culture to the mainstream and what better way to do this and highlight this group of global individuals.”
In the film, each of the cast members wears pieces from the 'Archive Reissue – Logo Remix' collection which will be available on Gap.com on January 27th and in select Gap stores globally beginning January 29th. In addition, there will be a ‘Limited Edition Logo Remix’ capsule that includes 30 one-of-a-kind designs, made by deconstructing and remixing vintage Gap logo sweatshirts and T-shirts from the Gap archives. Every garment was put together by hand in the Gap New York City design studio.
