Otherwise known as 'The Blues Princess', Elles Bailey is a singer-songwriter who has hit the music scene with a unique rock spin on classic country-like songs. Elles' debut album 'Wildfire' is released today, featuring her first single from the album also entitled, 'Wildfire'.

The song is a husky Western track which makes you bob your head super hard; the vibes are so original and different, something we rarely get to see on the rock music scene from solo females.

Nashville's Blackbird Studios are the company crafting the album and leading it to its release. Elles Bailey states; “It was always my plan to release my debut album in 2017… it had been a long time coming, but I could never have imagined getting the opportunity to make it in Nashville, at a studio like Blackbird Studios, where so many iconic albums have been made! I'm very excited about sharing this record with the world!” Having the song recorded in Nashville is so fitting with the American vibe that the album releases. The lyrics and instruments really make us feel like we’re in her moment with Elles.

Other songs which feature on the 'Wildfire' album include 'Same Flame' which has a revengeful feel to it just like Carrie Underwood’s 'Before He Cheats, Perfect Storm', which is very romantically styled for a rock song. This is similar to 'Shake It Off', Elles' cover of the mainstream Taylor Swift song. If you’re wondering if Bailey can achieve a more authentic and deep rock music feel then her song 'Let Me Hear You Scream' also captures this feeling. Other standout tracks include 'What If I', 'Barrel Of Your Gun', 'Shackles of Love' and 'Believed In You'.

Elles Bailey has of course just recorded the amazing 'Wildfire' but her previous songs are by no means something that should be overlooked. Some of her older releases such as 'Howling Wolf' are so amazing you simply can’t skip the chance to listen to them. The song has a strong piano background and powerful strong feminine tone to it which makes female rock fans feel empowered listening to it.

Interestingly, Elles Bailey's husky singing voice is not coincidental, but the result of an awful experience of viral and bacterial pneumonia at the age of three years old. However, not wanting to give up on her singing career the musician pushed through and now uses rock music as a way to display her unique voice and us listeners would never suspect a thing!

Elles Bailey is a Bristol based artist who has emerged rapidly onto the British music scene in the past few years and is guaranteed to continue to do so for some time. You can expect great things from her and I would recommend listening to her if you’re a fan of classic artists such as Cher (when she collaborated with Meatloaf) and Carrie Underwood. It's no surprise that upon it's release today 'Wildfire' went straight to #3 in the UK itunes Blues charts.

Elles Bailey will be touring with legendary blues-rock guitarist Eric Gales and opening at the following dates: Dublin (24th October), Limerick (25th), Cork (26th), Bournemouth (29th), Sutton (31st) and Bilston (2nd Nov).
