The Weeknd announced his new single off “STARBOY” called “Reminder” accompanied with a steamy video with the guest appearance of; Drake, Asap Rocky, Travis Scott, French Montana, NAV, Bryson Tiller, Metro Boomin and more.
“Reminder” is Abel’s response to his critics following the release of Beauty Behind the Madness that suggest he’s lost his drug-fueled way. Much as he did on 2015’s “Tell Your Friends,” Abel confidently assures us that the King of the Fall is here to stay.
The video brings together many of The Weeknd’s associated acts; people that he’s been down with since before his style became what it is today.
Drake was the major artist that found The Weeknd (or rather, his manager) and gave him the opportunity that, in part, made him what he is today.
Before Drake’s label, OVO Sound, there was only “OVOXO,” a combined moniker of Drizzy’s “October’s Very Own” and The Weeknd’s “XO.” The two disbanded early on in 2012 and fans have yearned for a reunion since.
