Countdown for the UK Summer Festival Season

The summer festival season start in May Bank holiday with one of the most eclectic line ups to date. The battle of headliners is here as music legends Duran Duran, Public Enemy, Primal Scream, Dizzee Rascal, Fat Boy Slim and others will be taking main stages at various festivals across the country on May 28th / 29th 2016. Common People - Southampton / Oxford This May Bank Holiday weekend (28th and 29th May), Common People – a new festival organised by Rob da Bank, DJ and co-founder of music festivals Bestival on the Isle of Wight and Camp Bestival, – comes to South Park, Oxford for the first time. The organisers are expanding to a second city following a highly successful debut year in Southampton. Both events will take place simultaneously on the same weekend almost sharing the same bill. Headliner for this year are Hot Chip, Dizzee Rascal, and Everything Everything. The electronic-centric festival will also feature the likes of Afrika Bambaataa, Hudson Mohawke, Stormzy plus asome of the most celebrated DJs, producers, and rappers around. Alongside the acts, Eastville Park will be boasting the Arcadia Afterburner - a 360-degree stage with a central flaming spire and protruding dance platforms that many festival-goers could have previously spotted at Glastonbury.
