Car Spotting In Hong Kong

Back in the last quarter of 2014, I had a company trip to Hong Kong. Weather was cold and there were protests, which I could not remember exactly where it was. It should be somewhere near Yau Ma Tei (油麻地).

Car scene is not as active in the US or Australia due to the strict Government Rules, very similar to Singapore. However, when I was shopping with my girl in Mongkok (望角), I happen to hear a loud exhaust idling. Walked right out the shop and saw a Initial D inspired AE86. Sadly, I got a handful from my girlfriend for being so enthusiastic about cars rather than shopping.

So while I was out and shopping along Mongkok, a Lexus IS250 caught my eye. Lightning was great and this picture was taken with my Samsung Note 2. Number plate was a special ‘HYDE‘ which I believe, is the owner’s name.

Apparently, even with such stringent government rules, there are still several crazy Hong Kong gearheads that race on the expressway. Below are some videos to keep you entertained.
