2019 Chevrolet Camaro Redesign
2019 Chevrolet Camaro
2019 Chevrolet Camaro Review – There is a new Chevrolet Camaro on the way to the dealerships. Chevy today unveiled the 2019 Camaro, marking the first visual update for the sixth generation car. With the introduction of a Turbo 1LE variant, there are many equipment and mechanical changes. However, what is most evident at the beginning is that the 2019 Camaro looks different from all angles. Scroll down to see up close the images of before and after the visual transformation of the car.
As a part of this mid-cycle update, Chevy has also brought the 1LE package to the 2019 Chevy Camaro faster to be more ready to update various components of other system stages to keep them fresh even as closing.
2019 Chevrolet Camaro Exterior Design
The 2019 Chevrolet Camaro does not want to change too much, and that’s why the generation change that occurred in 2016 did not bring a car with a completely different look. And, this is also the reason why this facelift is expected but surprising at the same time. The first thing Chevy did was get rid of this small grid in the front to make room for a wider airway with a wider mesh. At the bottom, a smaller air dam extends more than 70% of the width of the fascia, while the air intakes are now deeper and more characterful. New headlights are also in place. They are thinner and the LED strip now extends further into the grid.
It’s a facelift, so I know you did not expect to see the side profile change, right? Well, I certainly hope not because it did not happen. What happened, however, is a decent revision at the end. The new rear lights adopt a new design with circular LED units with reversing lights integrated with the center. The lower fascia is now a little more aggressive down, but it has softened a little closer to the back cover.
In terms of specific finishing characteristics, you will find that the finish levels have their own appearance. The LS and the LT share the front and rear fairings, while the RS and the SS receive their own visual processing, which is, of course, a bit more aggressive. By the way, the ZL1 did not receive a visual update as GM wanted to keep the design optimized for aerodynamics, which apparently could not be improved. The SS model receives the Chevy’s Flowtie front emblem to facilitate airflow. On the rear, the RS and SS models have their own diffuser when equipped with a two-mode exhaust system and tinted rear lenses. The RS and SS models also benefit from an updated 20-inch wheelset.
2019 Chevrolet Camaro Interior
The design has not changed, but technology has done it. This MyLink infotainment system is available for a new “Infotainment 3” system that is supposed to give up a more personalized experience and a much better interface. According to Chevy, the system mimics the operation of the smartphone and can be sustained with navigation, voice recognition, and various applications. And, most importantly, the new Chevrolet system can receive live updates, a novelty for the 2019 Chevrolet Camaro. The system comes standard with a seven-inch screen, but can be used with an eight-inch-diagonal touch screen that is also the system that has navigation.
A rear-view mirror is now available for most models but is standard on the 2SS and ZL1 versions. This is something that you should really consider when buying, however, since it eliminates the annoying blind spots caused by the rear axle, the headrests, and the rear pillars. All models have an updated rear view camera with high definition video for better video quality.
2019 Chevrolet Camaro Engine Performance
All three engines remain unchanged, so the 2.0-liter offers 275 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, while the 3.6-liter V6 offers 335 horsepower and 284 lb-ft. The 6.2-liter range is full of 455 horsepower and 455 pound-feet of torque. The 2.0-liter was new for this generation and was designed as a response to the Mustang’s offer with a four-banger again. The 3.6 liter was a newly designed engine and comes with direct injection and variable valve timing. Disabling the cylinders helps make things a little more economical, but it does not matter because it still outperforms the Mustang and the Challenger with two power digits.
2019 Chevrolet Camaro Price and release date
Prices for the 2019 model year are not yet available but do not expect prices to increase too much from 2018. At the time of writing this article, prices are set at $ 26,900 for 1LS and $ 27 695 for 1LT. Go to 2LT for $ 31,495 or 1SS for $ 37,995. Prices go up to $ 42,995 for 2SS, while ZL1 will cost $ 62,495.
