The Porsche Starfighter

Porsche isn’t restricting themselves to create terrestrial vehicles, or to this solar system. In fact with their latest collaboration with Lucasfilm, they are now headed to a galaxy far far away and bringing their design knowledge to the Star Wars universe.

The Starfighter is called the Tri-Wing S-91x Pegasus, which is the result of a collaboration between Porsche and Lucasfilms. The design of the Starfighter takes inspiration from the Porsche Taycan while also taking elements that define modern Porsche design. The front end of the Starfighter resembles the Taycan front with the signature 4-DRL setup surrounded by a Tycan-esque air intake system on either side. At the rear, the Tri-Wing S-91x Pegasus gets slats with a brake light similar to the current generation 911, flanked on both sides by lightbars that are all so familiar with almost all current generation Porsche models.

While its debut would be swift and in-between intergalactic battles, the Porsche x Lucasfilm Tri-Wing S-91x Pegasus Starfighter will be shown for the first time in the upcoming Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker movie that premieres in Los Angeles this December. Those who attend this event would even be lucky enough to catch a 5-foot model of the Starfighter gracing the premiere floor.
