I’ve always found great comfort and enjoyment in the outdoors and it was a natural fit to acquire a rig that could keep up with my adventures. I purchased the Toyota FJ Cruiser back in early 2014 and it helped fuel my passion for exploring and outdoor photography moving forward. After a few years in the military, I was hired on at Expedition One in Ogden, Utah after I got out and has provided some great opportunities. The FJ followed suit over the years with a gradual increase in modifications, purpose-built to this lifestyle.

The annual Toyota FJ Summit held in Ouray, Colorado every July is one such destination that I look forward to every year which provides plenty of unforgettable trails not found anywhere else in the US. This year’s event takes place between July 19 – 23 which takes overland enthusiasts from majestic waterfalls and switchbacks on Black Bear Pass, to the peak of Imogene Pass at 13,114ft, every year brings some great photographic moments and memories. FJ Cruiser owners from all over the globe come together in Ouray for a week of off-road trails, reacquainting with new & old friends, and getting to meet the companies and vendors that have helped shape the industry.
