Top Four Drivers of the Portugese Grand Prix

Honorable Mention: Mick Schumacher

As predicable as Haas have been, Schumacher has breathed the occasional fresh air into the team. Today was no different. It's hard to quantify how well he raced today, but given the colossal gap between himself and his Teammate, it might be worth awarding Mick a few points on the bounce.

4. Pierre Gasly

Gasly went under the radar for most of this race, but he took a car lacking in pace through a 66-lap odyssey. Falling and fighting with Alpines, Ferraris and McLarens awarded him with a single championship point. Yuki was nowhere near him, and though unspectacular, it was a monster drive from the Frenchman today.

3. Esteban Ocon

Ocon had a quiet, but successful afternoon. The Alpine looked to best its midfield counterparts, but it could only manage p 7 in the end. Despite this, he looked excellent in the blue and red kit, and no-one can take away the day he had.

2. Lewis Hamilton

Hamilton did wonders at the front of the pack today. Passing a teammate, gaining ground with shredded tires, and much much more. Many people are quick to look past performances like these, but they help the world see how great the world champion of our sport really is.

1. Lando Norris

Norris had a predictably good outcome today. That's something we struggled to acknowledge last year. three consecutive top five finishes puts him at the best start a McLaren driver has had for... a long while. As the new #1 I'm curious to see how he interacts with his new teammate. Will things get hairy if they come closer together? Does Norris want favoritism after a while? All signs point towards a successful year for Lando and McLaren.
