6 Tips To Stay Healthy During Halloween

Halloween is here and so is all the Candy. Whether you have children or you don’t, sugar will be a problem for your fitness goals. Sugar is the worst thing to consume while trying to get fit. We can have candy in moderation but we generally want to stay healthy life long. You want to look like a snicker not eat them daily.

Here are 6 tips to stay healthy on Halloween.

1. Give out all your candy

We all would like to save some candy for November and the cold months, but it’s best to get rid of all this candy so you don’t get tempted to eat it on a regular basis. When the kids come to the door give a hand full out. If you run out of candy give out a dollar to each kid. You will be better off! If you have no money get creative. Give out fitness tips like I do 😜.

2. Don’t eat while handing out

If you are home and giving out the candy don’t eat a piece every time the bell rings. Set a limit of how much candy you will eat. If you tell yourself and put aside 5 pieces of candy for the day you will control your intake tremendously. I am not saying don’t eat the candy but restrict yourself.

3. Party but not too hard

Go to Halloween parties and have fun! Stick to your nutrition plan though. Cheating on Halloween will lead to falling off during the holiday months. Thanksgiving and other holidays are next so you must prepare. The winters get cold and you will get lazy with comfort food. Enjoy your self but get back to the business of living a healthy life.

4. Intermittent fast

If you are practicing intermittent fasting currently you should know it helps you stay fit during times of unhealthy eating. If you do not do (IF) than try it for a day. Halloween is the best time to try it! Have one meal only the day of Halloween. Snack on your selected candy limit then eat one big meal at night. Learn more about intermittent fasting here.

5. Walk with the kids

If you are parent than you have to do this regardless. Those extra calories that you burn go a long way and they will help you stay focused on your fitness goals. If you don’t  have any Kids then be one of those weirdos who dressing up head to toe in a costume and walks the neighborhood. It is better than jogging, make it a fun day.

6. Buy candy closer to the day of Halloween

If you have candy in your home for 3 weeks prior to Halloween than you most likely will snack on them. Buy the candy a day or two before so you won’t snack too hard. You can also be that guy who gives out healthy stuff but the kids might egg your house. You can bring a horse to water but if they don’t drink🤷🏻‍♂️.

That’s it for now! Enjoy Halloween, watch horror movies and eat candy in moderation.
