Dr. Bahia Al-Salihi is a graduate of the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois. She received her bachelor of science in Human Biology and her master of science in Advanced Clinical Practice. She earned a master's degree in Business Administration from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management and a master's degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine. As a licensed chiropractic physician and board certified licensed acupuncturist Dr. Al-Salihi's area of expertise is Orthopedic acupuncture.
In practice since 1992, Dr. Al-Salihi has completed extensive continuing medical education in Sports Medicine and Orthopedics. In addition, she completed over 6,000 hours of study in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine as part of her master's degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She is a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), which demonstrates proficiency in Chinese Herbal Medicine.
In addition to Orthopedic acupuncture Dr. Al-Salihi also treats internal medical conditions with acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine.
