What do you think of when you hear the word “Mac?” Some of you may be Thinking of the Apple’s computer line while others may be thinking of mac and cheese or even a Big Mac. Around here though, Mac means something else. Mac is the name of our resident Goldfish. Recently, our scaly friend gave us quite a scare. He contracted a common goldfish infection and the prognosis was grievous. This infection usually proves fatal in goldfish such as Mac. Without much time to spare, we leapt into action. We upgraded him from a bowl to what is basically a fish mansion, outfitted with an electronic filter and an overhead light. We administered him an essential oil which is a common ingredient in fish antibiotics. The results were almost immediate. Within a couple days, our little aquatic buddy was back to his old self, swimming back and forth, leaping Free-Willie style from the water, and begging us for food. With a new lease on life, Mac now enjoys the finer things in life, such as stacking his rocks in an effort to find his inner peace.
Moving on, I have steadily been improving my Photoshop skills. I have begun to master the art of compositing photos. Recently I had to perform Photoshop surgery by transplanting the arms of several people. Everybody came through just fine and you can’t even tell that they had a procedure done! Similarly, I’ve gotten a lot of practice lately with bringing a subject into a new scene and matching all of the lighting and colors. Compositing is difficult but I am definitely getting the hang of it, and I have fun doing it.
Until next time!
