I write to all of you with mixed emotions. Today marks my final day interning at Worx, and it has been nothing short of a bittersweet ending to an amazing journey. I am so extremely thankful for my time here this summer. I have gained so much from this wonderful community of talented WORXers and for that I am forever grateful.
I was lucky enough to be involved in a lot of really cool projects this past week. I spent my Saturday as the Ruthless Spectator Production Assistant for the on-site shooting of their newest videos. It was a fun day full of laughs, slating and behind the scenes action. Aside from working with Ruthless Spectator, I was given the opportunity to conduct research for a new client and even take part in the meeting. This was extremely exciting for me because I wasn’t just an intern sitting in on a meeting. Instead I was an intern that took part in the research and planning, and therefore had information and ideas to share with the client during the meeting. It was exhilarating, especially since it was for a project I was interested in.
Another new and exciting task I got to undertake was being the substitute Administrative Assistant for two days. This allowed me to sit at the front desk, answer phones, welcome clients and learn an entirely different side to how WORX operates. Once again my Knowledge of this company was expanded as well as my skillset. The best part was getting to open all the mail since I had no idea what would be in each package – it was like opening presents!
As I spend my last few hours completing my last few projects, I wanted to take the time to say thank you to everyone at WORX. I am so thankful for all of the knowledge, friendships and memories I have gained while interning here. Although I will be far away in Nashville, WORX will forever be with me in my heart. This internship has left an impact on my life that will never be forgotten.
To all of my fellow WORXers, I’ve learned that with every Goodbye there is always a hello waiting. So, rather than say goodbye I’d like to instead offer a “see you later.” Good luck with everything and I’ll make sure to keep in touch.
It has been one heck of a journey, so thanks to all of you for tagging along and experiencing it with me. This is Sam Sansone, signing off for the last time!
