One of the funky bike manufacturers, KTM has launched a new variant of the 390 Adventure. The new variant features wire-spoke rims and the bike is priced at Rs. 3.60 Lakhs Ex-showroom Delhi. With this update, this bike will attract those buyers demanding wire spoke wheels in an off-road adventure-oriented bike.

Details of a new variant of the KTM 390 Adventure

KTM has launched the new wire-spoke rim variant of this bike. It features wire-spoke rims made of aluminium and tube-type Metzler Tourance tyres. These rims have an advantage over cast-alloy wheels as they can absorb big impacts like hitting a rock while riding on a trail. However, if the tyre gets punctured, repairing or replacing it can be a hassle as it requires removing the wheel.

Additionally, the KTM 390 Adventure now has an adjustable suspension and a new Rally Orange colour. While the company claims it’s fully adjustable, the fork can only be adjusted for compression and rebound (up to 30 clicks), and there’s no preload adjustability. The mono-shock, on the other hand, offers a 10-step preload and 20-step rebound adjustability.

Powertrain and Pricing

At the heart of the matter of the KTM 390 Adventure is the new BS6 phase-2 compliant 374cc single-cylinder engine. This engine makes 43hp of power and 37nm of torque output coupled to a 6-Speed Manual Transmission.

KTM has priced this variant of 390 Adventure at Rs. 3.6 Lakhs making it the most expensive among other variants. However, the bike continues with other features such as TFT display traction control, cornering ABS and a quick-shifter.
