Skoda has dropped the teaser of the upcoming versions of its various models. The image has portrayed the new generation of the Superb Kodiaq and Superb Combi estate. The Czech car manufacturer unveiled the first official silhouette images of these new-generation vehicles during its “Let’s Explore” event.

Skoda has planned to showcase the production version of these cars in a separate world premiere. The new Superb and Kodiaq models will feature modern, efficient petrol and diesel engines, along with hybrid options.

Brief info on upcoming Skoda cars

Skoda Auto is geared up to unveil the production of its upcoming cars in the world premiere of Autumn 2023. The company will showcase the 4th generation of its superb sedan as well as the 2nd generation of its Kodiaq SUV. The new vehicles will come with a host of new features, upgraded technology, and a completely revamped interior.

The 4^th generation of the Superb will be available as both a sedan and a spacious Combi estate. The manufacturing of the new flagship model will take place at the Volkswagen Group plant in Bratislava, Slovakia. Meanwhile, the new generation of the Kodiaq will be produced at the Skoda plant in Kvasiny, Czech Republic.

The sales analysis of Superb and Kodiaq

Skoda Superb was first launched in the 1930s as a vintage model. But the modern sedan version made its debut in the 2000s decade. The brand managed to sell around 1.37 Lakh Units of Superb between 2001 and 2008. In 2008, Skoda launched the second generation of Superb featuring an optional AWD system. Moreover, it received an estate version which spiked its sales to 6.18 Lakh units.

The third-generation version of Superb debuted in 2015 with enhanced space, reduced emissions, and practicality. The company updated the 3rd generation of Superb in 2019 with the brand’s first-ever PHEV mode. Skoda has sold approx. 7.70 Lakh units of Superb till now.

Skoda’s 7-seater SUV, the Kodiaq made its debut in 2016. The SUV boasts a 7-seat configuration and a crystalline design language which made the SUV campaign successful. Skoda has managed to sell 7.40 Lakh units in 40 markets across the globe. The brand also introduced the RS variant and a mid-life update in 2021.
