2021 China-ASEAN Business School Development Seminar and GUET School of Business Development Strategy Advisory Board Preparatory Meeting was successfully held by the School of Business of GUET on Dec 19. The meeting was hosted by Prof. Yuan Shengjun, Dean of the School of Business of GUET. Mr. Cao Huijing. Also, the Vice president of GUET was present at the meeting and delivered the opening remark.
Five well-known business professors and experts from China and ASEAN countries had been invited to attend this meeting namely Prof. Yuan Wenjing (Dean of the School of Management of Jinan University), Dr. Yudo Anggoro (Director of MBA Jakarta campus, Bandung Institute of Technology), Dr. Aaron Loh (Director of Universities Collaborations and Networking of Assumption University)，Prof. LI Shijie (Dean of School of Economics of Hainan University), and Professor Estefania Cortez (Chairperson of Department of Political Economy of Polytechnic University of the Philippines). They made keynote speeches in turn on the meeting with the following themes: Challenges and Opportunities for China’s Economic Growth in the Post-pandemic Era, Opportunities and Challenges during Pandemic in Emerging Economy, Ethical and Legal Considerations towards Technological Contribution in an Era of Pandemic Recovery, the Special Position, Constrains and Solution of Hainan Free Trade Port in the Deepening of Economic and Trade Cooperation between China-ASEAN and The Political Economy of Covid-19.
Considering the current situation of their own countries and areas, professors and scholars who attended this seminar have made deep analysis about the opportunities and challenges facing the world in the post-Covid era, pointed out the trend of global economy and thereby put forward many constructive response measures that we may take as reference. They also expressed sincere hope to strengthen exchange and ties with parties involved. At the end of the meeting, Prof. Yuan Shengjun highly valued the thoughtful remarks of each scholar. He said, “The remarks of my fellow scholar friends are profound and thought-provoking, which bring considerable benefits to the audience.” The successful opening of this meeting is of great importance to promote the academic exchange and development in the economic field among China, Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines.
