Why did Crochet become popular again in 2022?

According to retailer New Look’s report for Pinterest, Crochet Tops topped the list with 316,148 pins, ahead of 88,027 pins for cutout dresses.

This is partly due to people taking up crochet as a hobby during the pandemic.

The influence of TikTok and Instagram has also contributed to crochet’s growing popularity among celebrities and fashionistas. More and more fashionistas are sharing their latest crochet creations on social media, which has prompted many users to learn about and study crochet and design their own crochet outfits.
