The Kirlian Frequency Review

By Michael Osei

You may have noticed a fresh roll out of content listed in the 'popular' section of your Netflix page. The list includes a series named, The Kirlian Frequency. At first I passed over it to catch up with more familiar titles like Pulp Fiction. The seemingly ambiguous title of 'The Kirlian Frequency' gradually commanded my attention. What is this about? Why is the series catching on now?

I decided to give it a look and ended up binge watching the entire season. My only criticism is there's only one season of this masterpiece at this time. The series is a successor of sorts to animated classics such Tales From the Crypt keeper and Freaky Stories. Every episode has a unique situation that tie in together to form one major story-line. The visuals command your attention and the synth wave selections could give Stranger Things a run for its money. Hopefully the rise in viewership leads to production for a well deserved second season. I highly recommend that you take a chance on this series - and return to share your thoughts!
