Job Interview after Child. (Story)

Today I am going to share a Story of a Girl. Richa was born in a middle-class family. She was a bright student and started her career in Corporate World. She did well and achieved success. She was good in whatever she did. Her superiors always showed believed in her abilities. She was enjoying her Success and then she fell in love with a boy. It was a perfect marriage. Richa left her job once she became a mother of an adorable daughter. But the story is not about this.

When her daughter grew, one day while breakfast her husband suggested her to start thinking about starting her career again.

The story is.

Richa sat the whole day thinking about it. She thought that it was indeed the right time to start. She left her job for her daughter as there was no one to look after her, but now she was grown. She was 5 years.

Richa decided to start her career again. She updated her resume and applied for a job. She was called up for an interview.

She was too excited and was very nervous at the same time. She was giving an interview after a long. She went blank when it came to preparations. She had done it many times before, but this interview she was not feeling confident. But she composed herself.

Finally, the day of the interview came. She went and gave an interview confidently and came home happy. The interviewer told her that they would call her soon.

After two days the interviewer called her and told that they would hire her, but cannot offer her Manager position as she was not working from last 5 years.

They had sent their offer on Email and she was asked to send an acceptance of same.

She replied over email as below:

Thank you for offering me a job. But I cannot join because the interviewer has failed to calculate my capabilities. I was not offered Manager position because I was not working for last 5 years. Dear Sir, I would like to correct you. I was working. I was working day and night without being paid. I was working as a housewife and a mother.

In these 5 years of experience, I have learned more than in any other job.

The nine months of pregnancy taught me to be patient. Labor pain taught me to stay strong in difficult times and after delivery, I was stronger than ever. I moved to a different level. I was a mother. I took care of my child and I realized that I was a good learner.  I adapted well to changes. I took good care of my daughter, husband and did household work too. In return, I learned Time Management. There are many other things which I have learned in the entire process.

Thank you and it was a pleasure meeting you, but the job offered to me does not do justice to my experience.
