Khajuraho complex is an abode to few ancient monuments whose walls have stone carvings that depict sensuality and are quite erotic. The best time to visit this place is during Khajuraho Dance Festival hosted by renowned classical dancers.
5. VAISHNO DEVI TEMPLE
Location: Katra, Jammu
It is one of the most notable Devi abodes in India. Located at the very top of a cliff in Katra, Vaishno Devi sees an annual footfall of more than 8 millions. This temple is a must visit if your honeymoon is tripping to Kashmir.
6. RAMNATHSWAMY TEMPLE
Location: Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu
This temple is quite popular over the south. This temple is also considered as yet another abode of Lord Shiva. It is amongst the twelve Jyotilingas of Shiva in India. It has two Lingas, one built by Sita another brought by Lord Hanuman.
7. HIDIMBA DEVI TEMPLE
Hidimba Devi Temple.
Location: Manali, Himachal Pradesh
This temple stands tall amidst the sacred cedar forest at the foot of the Himalaya Mountains. Known for the manifestation of Durga, this temple has its traces back then in the Mahabharata. Also being located in the ‘Honeymoon town’ Manali adds on to this temple’s popularity.
