Even before they’d gotten engaged, Gina and Trevor had already picked out their perfect Wedding venue: Congress Hall in Cape May, NJ. In Gina’s words, “Congress Hall creates a timeless feel of elegance, mixed with a laid back atmosphere. In a beautiful beach town filled with Victorian style homes, it suits our taste perfectly. We wanted our guests to feel a sense of traditional style, while enjoying drinks and dancing by the ocean.” With that, they began planning their special day and on May 29, 2015, they said “I do”. Gina and Trevor exchanged vows in a traditional church ceremony. It was a special moment that the two will never forget. Seeing Trevor’s face as she walked down the aisle was Gina’s “favorite memory of the day, and of [her] life.” She said, “We always imagined how we would react to that moment. He was unable to control his tears and beaming smile as I walked toward him…We both agreed it was the best moment of our lives.”
The newlyweds kicked off their reception with toasts and dancing. They kept things simple for their décor, allowing the hotel’s gorgeous ballroom and their rose centerpieces to serve as the focal points.
As for the icing on the (wedding) cake for their special day, Gina said, “Our guests who are from out of town absolutely fell in love with Cape May, NJ. We have an anniversary trip planned with some of our closest family and friends. Most exciting of all, my husband and I will be returning to our favorite destination as a family of three!”
