Simple is very often the most effective and it’s those little touches which really count and make an impact. Before you both head off to work, start Valentines with a 'love’ly breakfast. Buy some heart shaped baking moulds, make some toast and place the heart shape on top and fill the space with strawberry jam and this will leave a red heart on top of the toast. Cute, simple and effective.
If you are feeling extra prepared and you want to treat your partner to a lunch made by yours truly, why not include a little note with his lunch. This is entirely up to you what you want to write, but you might consider either letting him know how you feel about him, or what he does which makes you smile, or even what’s in store for him when he gets home!
3) Precious me time
If time is on your side and you get home before your partner from work, use this time to get yourself dolled up. Think lashes, lips, nails… helped by the tips you got from your Glamour Puss experience. If you have not been on one, read our article which gives you an insight if you wish to book one another time, but with Valentine’s Day falling imminently, read this blog for makeup tips: http://makeuptips-blog.com/
4) The evening meal
You can be as extravagant or as daring as you wish here. Some might want to keep it simple and cheesy by making spaghetti on toast & spelling out a message on the toast with a sprinkle of cheese whilst others will want to show off their skills from a sushi making class they have attended in the past and go all out! Depending on how daring you are, you could go all out as Samantha did in Sex and the City… or maybe not!
If it is Sushi which you decide to go for, check out this website for some great recipes! : http://makemysushi.com/. Otherwise, here is a source for some quick romantic meals which won’t take up too much of your evening http://www.food.com/recipes/romantic
|Whipped cream, strawberries, a few cocktail sticks, maybe some chocolate? Dessert for Valentines day should be simple and fun and maybe a little bit messy…how messy, well that’s up to you! Some of you however may want to skip dessert and reveal your inner goddess with some of the techniques you learnt from a Seduction & Foreplay lesson you attended on a hen party. Whatever you choose to do, I’m sure dessert will most certainly be satisfying.|
From all of us at UKGirlThing, have a memorable Valentines Day and we hope your partner goes through as much effort as you do to make the day special. Ladies, remember to wear red as statistically this is the colour which men fall for.
