A Picture-Perfect Engagement Shoot In Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

For this Pennsylvania couple, Kimberly and Brian chose to capture their love at Washington Square Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This super sweet Engagement Shoot gave us all the feels as their love for one another other is palpable. Kimberly tells us that her favorite pictures (and we can bet it was hard to choose!) were the photos where she and Brian were being their”authentic selves” and we couldn’t agree more!

Here’s a close look at the adorable engagement shoot of Kimberly and Brian and the intimate details of how Brian proposed!

HOW THEY MET

Brian and I met down at the Jersey Shore through mutual friends! It was one of those summer flings that we didn’t realize would turn into love.

THE PROPOSAL

I babysit A LOT so my weekend calendar can be quite challenging. Brian reserved three dates April 30th, May 14th and May 28th to plan surprise dates. So I did some detective work to figure out when I thought the question would be popped–I came up with the first date, of course! After two hours of getting ready, we got in the car and went to Rose Bank Winery…this was it! I had on a black dress that looked great, we were wine tasting, it was spring, and he had just gotten a fresh haircut–everything seemed aligned! Well, I was very wrong and quite honestly DEVASTATED, LIVID, you name it! But hey, I knew I had two more dates coming up!

Date number two arrives–May 14th–I have a fresh manicure, the perfect red dress… but figured after the last date I can’t get my hopes up. the whole day I stayed very calm. When we hit unexpected traffic heading there I wasn’t even worried (so not like me) because, well, this probably wasn’t the day. It was also supposed to thunderstorm all day, again, no worried (who am I?)! We had a nice lunch in New Hope, PA and headed to the surprise date–another winery (I thought it had to be a sick joke if he didn’t propose yet again). We got to the Washington Crossing’s Winery early and the pushy planner that I am I said: “Let’s go in! They’ll take us early.” So we go in and fly through an hour wine tasting in just about ten minutes. So I decided we will get a bottle of our favorite white wine and walk around the grounds. We walk outside to three huge tables of people wine tasting. Now, I wanted this to be romantic and personal not a show (if it was going to happen)! So I decided to try and find where exactly I wanted to be while being proposed to. I try walking through the vineyard; and the rule breaker himself says, “We’re not allowed!” So I gave up and let him take the lead again. We walked around to where all the people were (ugh!), however, he takes me around to a very private archway where he proceeds to say, “Ok, let’s do this,” gets down on one knee and asks me to be his wife!

THE ENGAGEMENT SHOOT

We chose Washington Square Park because we always spend time checking out new parks in the city and the suburbs. There are so many favorite photos from our session! My favorite photos of us are when we are laughing and being our authentic selves!
