This Couple Celebrated Their Big Day With Two Wedding Ceremonies

Patricia and Thanh met in high school at a tennis tournament. They were from opposing schools, so the high school rivalry was on!  Patricia remembers the frigid temperatures, and luckily Thanh was there because as soon as they met, things instantly started heating up between them.

The couple dated almost ten years before Thanh popped the question and here’s an exclusive look at their beautiful wedding  in Dallas, Texas!

PROPOSAL

My husband proposed on Valentine’s Day 2015 and I wasn’t really expecting to do anything major because he had to work. I went to work with him that day and afterwards we decided to drop by a park where we use to go on dates and hang out all the time back in high school. We walked the beautiful park and he proposed on a bridge at the park. I was so surprised because I thought he might pop the question on our ten year anniversary, which was only a month away!

GETTING READY

Our day started off with makeup and hair with B.madebyBebe, then we had a traditional Vietnamese Tea Ceremony and we both wore traditional wedding attire.

CEREMONY

After that I changed into my white dress and he changed into his tuxedo and we headed to the Japanese Garden in Ft. Worth for an outdoor Christian ceremony at the Mikosh Deck, which features a beautiful view of a waterfall. We took our portraits here as well because the scenery is so beautiful! After this we proceeded to Thanh Thanh Vietnamese Restaurant for our reception for our traditional Vietnamese 9 course meal reception dinner followed by dancing and cake!

RECEPTION

My absolute favorite moment was when we arrived at our reception and my decorators, Dream Weddings, walked us in and I just saw how absolutely beautiful everything was for ourselves and our guests. It was at that moment we wound down from our two ceremonies. I knew that the reception was going to be stress-free and fun and I would get to eat, enjoy and celebrate with all our family and friends.

Our wedding color palette was gold with shades of pink. The flowers were white and pink ohara garden roses, blush and different shades of pink roses, spray roses, white hydrangeas, pink tulips, pink dendrobium orchids, different shades of snap dragons and white fresh phalaenopsis orchids.

For our honeymoon we took off for Asia for two weeks! We made a pit stop in Japan, then headed off to Vietnam for the remainder of the trip!

I am most looking forward to starting a new chapter in our lives after dating almost ten years and being engaged for one! I’m really looking forward to simply calling him my husband and him calling me his wise. I’ve waited a really really long time for that!
