As Griha Shanti is the ritual performed for the attainment of peace with the help of priest, who performs yagya’s (holy fire). This tradition is held at the residential place of bride and groom; wherein a bowl of turmeric paste is applied by all the family members all over the body from head to toe, to the bride and groom for the glowing look on the wedding day.

MAHIRA DASTOOR OR PALLA DASTOOR

Yes, it means the grooms family visits the bride’s home place and personally give her the wedding dress and jewellery that is to be worn by the bride on the wedding day adding glamour to the Marwari wedding.
At the same time, the ceremony of sehra is tied around the forehead of groom by the brother in-law and sister in-law applies kohl in his eyes. I must say, India has really something different to know about every customs.

And at the end the Bidai Ceremony, where the bride is sent to groom resident with last good bye by the bride family members. At this point of time the groom presents a gift to the bride.
