So she decided to teach herself the techniques involved and swiftly found that there was a demand for her talents among friends and family. Not long after, The Designer Cake Company was formed. “I’ve always had a creative streak and trained as a professional dancer with The Royal Ballet before spending four years studying Fashion Marketing at Northumbria University in Newcastle. I then moved to London and worked for a leading Fashion PR agency on accounts such as Calvin Klein and Hugo Boss, before moving back to the North East and world of baking!”
