Do the most Random Thoughts ever pop into your mind that there is no way you would ever go through with them? I’m talking about things that are so far from your personality they’re totally ridiculous yet here they are just daring you do to something out of character.

For example at work the other day I walked past this lovely older gentleman having his lunch outside enjoying the sunshine and a moments peace out from his busy day yet I thought to myself I wonder what would happen if I knocked his coffee mug onto the ground smashing it without saying a word. What would he say or do following that?!

I would never deliberately inflict pain, hurt or do such an unkind act towards someone but here’s this thought bouncing around in my head. Surely I can’t be the only one that experiences this??

Another example of a time these Random thoughts have come to mind is when I’m having a serious Conversation with my boss. We could be talking about something very serious to do with the company yet my mind asks “what do you think he would do if you punched him in the stomach right now? No warning at all, this is a non threatening conversation with no anger towards you whatsoever so how would he react?”

Actually another thing that sometimes happens in these serious such conversations, but is not violent like that last example, is that I will think of something funny that happened once and it’ll make me want to giggle like a little kid. Like in the middle of talking about something really not funny like how the business is going through a tough patch and if we don’t find a solution soon then we could all be out of a job. So then I’m struggling to look concerned about this but also having to do everything to hold back laughter or at the very least a massive smile. I might have to find excuses to look away, to bring my hand to cover mouth or to get out of there for a moment as soon as possible while trying to follow the conversation and show concern.

Why is my mind so twisted and am I the only one?! Fingers crossed this is more common than I would think it to be!
