Jurlique Sunless Tanner: The Perfect Fake Tan for Pale Skin
I’d love a permanent tan, but unfortunately living abroad by a hot, sunny beach somewhere is not on the agenda right now. Even when I do go abroad, a tan isn’t something I pick up easily and it sucks! I have Pale Skin, which is fine, but sometimes it can look a little dull and leave me looking a little deflated if I haven’t but any type of BB cream or base product on just to add a little warmth.
That’s where tanning comes in. I’ve tried Fake Tan in the past, from sprays to lotions, but neither of these have been repeated. Spray tans are simply too much effort and are also costly. Fake tan at home however gives a great result, but just for the first couple hours before I start to find they are simply too dark for me. I find the transition from my pale skin to the ‘natural-looking’ glow these lighter tans claim to offer, is too drastic.
Luckily for you and I, I have found the solution. Jurliquehave recently introduced their new Sunless Tanner which can be used for the face and body. The box does claim it’ll offer everything that other fake tans do, but this product actually tells the truth!
What the box tells you: “Beautiful natural-looking tan, protection, deep moisturisation. This lightweight, non-streaky formula is designed to provide multi-benefits of a natural, golden sunless tan, protection from environmental aggressors and intense hydration.”Need they say more?
Although you have to take these things with a pinch of salt, for someone who seems to react to a lot of skin-base products and suffers with dry skin on many parts of the body, this really does work for me. I have tried it all over to simply get the best idea of whether it does a good job or not, and it does. However, I do mainly use it on my face only. My body and neck is a tad darker than my face, but once applying this product just the once, it helps to match it seamlessly.
Here’s how it works: Like any other tanning method, ensure you exfoliate beforehand. Then apply to dry, cleansed skin like you would with a daily moisturiser. To avoid streaks or a patchy results, make sure you blend thoroughly. To also avoid getting it on your clothes, let it dry before dressing and ensure you wash your hands afterwards! It will take between 2 – 4 hours for the colour to deepen once applied, but if you think a darker shade will suit you, then apply daily for a more intense result.
As for the smell, we all know fake tans aren’t great. This one doesn’t differ too much from that fact, but it’s not as harsh on your senses as others which makes it even better. But we all know a spritz of perfume once it’s dried will sort that out!
