You can get away from the crowds and move to some of Europe’s best unknown destinations - places you haven't visited but should.

You will certainly be the envy of many when you  return from your vacation and tell your friends about the amazing destinations you’ve been that they hadn't even heard of! Anyone brave enough to buck the pattern and travel to an unusual European holiday destination would surely reap the rewards. here are a few you should consider:

Dobrota and Budva, Montenegro

Croatia may have been one of the best holiday destinations for rich Europeans but Montenegro also shares similar incredible climate with Croatia as well as it crystal-clear waters. The Boka Kotorska Bay is one of the most breathtaking natural fjords on the planet and is just an hour from Dubrovnik.

Boka’s many waterside hamlets are a perfect reflection of it culture and history. The hamlets are also places where you get exceptional cuisines and luxurious hotel rooms for about half of the cost of other European destinations. You could choose to book an old stone building or a ten-room hotel with a private pebble beach or head straight to the Palazzo Radomiri hotel where you can have sunset yoga sessions and explore the sunbathing jetty.

A perfect reflection of Portuguese flavor can be found in the western Algarve. Ferragudo’s beaches are delightfully less crowded and the little fishing village hosts numerous waterfront tavernas that grill fresh fish on open charcoal fires.

You could visit the Ferragudo’s Grande beach with your entire family or the super-cool, Dutch-run Kalu beach bar and have a great sea-view lunch.  The Caneiros beach has draped cabanas for hire and excellent restaurant.

The Scilly Isles have bays just like the Bahamas with a manageable number of visitors and the islands have an amazing temperature as they are positioned in the warm Gulf stream. A number of plants flourish in this destination including palm trees and other sub-tropical plants.

You could explore Tresco the second largest islands, by bike or hire a boat from the Isles of Scilly. Tresco’s turquoise sea and white sand beaches are amazing sights to behold.

Note that there is very little traffic and phone signal. A perfect getaway.

In a few words, this is certainly the most beautiful country in Eastern Europe. The magnificent lakes of Slovenia and the alpine forests have the finest activity centers around, additionally the landscape is stunning with massive emerald lakes, high mountain trails, chilly waterfalls and huge gorges.

The town of Radovljica is situated close to Lake Bled and is an ideal jumping off point for cyclists or activity hunters. The town has white-washed buildings decorated with attractive frescos, peaceful squares and also traditional tavernas offering unique foods. Festivals run throughout the summer season and guests can cycle to Lake Bled to rent row boats.

Sagres, at the very tip of Portugal’s coastal area, features impressive cliffs and a broad bay. From Cape Saint Vincent lighthouse, the next stop across the Atlantic is America. You can catch some of the best surf Europe has to offer there. Also the beach cafes will suit guest wanting to chill out and pick up a board. And don't forget to visit the Beer Museum.

Cluj, is bordered by acres of Transylvanian countryside and forests and is also a cosmopolitan student town with open-air festivals all through the summer. Its breathtaking terrain makes it good for trekking and cycling. It also features vibrant cocktail bars and numerous restaurants.
