This week’s shopping picks have a definite casual workplace vibe. A skirt that is both relaxed and chic. A shawl that doubles as a cardigan. Luxe loafers that will allow for a painless walk to lunch. So much fun to be had here.
Check out all of the new finds in my online shopping cart this week…
1. Tibi Knit Convertible Shawl, $275.00
When I first spied this item in Tibi’s weekly email I assumed it was a wrap sweater, which was appealing enough. Turns out, this knit piece can be worn four ways, including as a scarf and as a cardigan. Love that hardcore multitasking. It’s available in four colors: heather gray, black, walnut, and wine.
2. NewbarK Liza Loafer, $565.00
These handmade slip-ons are crafted from lizard-embossed lambskin in a pretty eggshell shade, detailed with smooth gray calf leather. The subtlety of the shades and textures is appealing, as is the fact that these loafers are dressy enough for work, but with a supremely walkable flat silhouette.
3. Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Cleanser Daily Wash, $38.00
Did you know that the cult favorite Kate Somerville ExfoliKate line included a daily face wash? Neither did I. Then I ran across this product at Sephora. Evidently it’s new, but it has already racked up twelve perfect 5-star ratings, all of which are peppered with superlatives and exclamation points. I think that makes it a must-try.
4. Leith Shawl Collar Long Cardigan, $50.40 (was $84.00)
My favorite sale find of the week, so far. This ultra-affordable knit cardigan – available in both this green shade and a more neutral heather gray – has an interesting look thanks to that wide shawl collar. I feel like I have a dozen of the exact same boyfriend cardigan shape in my closet; this new shape is a breath of fresh air.
5. Madewell Denim Pencil Skirt, $89.50
This new below-the-knee pencil skirt has a couple of cool details: a curved pieced front and an exposed back zipper. But, it’s the slim fit and longer length that reeled me in. This look will go from a casual office to after work event with ease.
