Board games have changed so much since I was a kid. Scrabble, Chess, Chinese Checkers, Monopoly (often against myself), Yahtzee with my Grandma Jean… Those were about all we had. Now stores are filled with different games, Target and Walmart have aisles dedicated to them, websites are devoted to their intricacies, and Dozens of new ones are put out every month through traditional channels and various campaigns (such as Kickstarter). Okay, maybe not dozens every single month, but it seems like it. It’s actually kind of overwhelming. But I enjoy them. I’ve played so many good ones. I’m not here to tout any one in specific right now; but instead I want to encourage you: If you haven’t tried a new Board game in a while, go try one! Personally, I love deck building games.
