This post is now in the guidelines of the FTC We love to watch movies at home, but to make that experience the best one possible, we need the right equipment. TV technology has improved in recent years, but so has the Projector. Once purely for the cinema, there are now dozens of projectors on the market designed to be used at home. If you want to create a stylish movie-viewing space, here’s why you need a projector instead of a TV.  Image – free for commercial use Size matters. If you’re looking for large picture size, they don’t come much bigger than a projector. You can buy an LCD TV up to 60inches without having to sell a kidney these days, but sometimes we just want bigger. The average projector can cast an image of 100 inches across, which is a lot larger than a TV of comparable price.  Party time. Home cinema design is perfect for those who love to entertain. When I throw a party or invite friends round to watch the big game, having a projector means that everyone can see the screen as well as those sitting in the front. A compact projector on the coffee table means there doesn’t have to be anything in the way of the screen, or any bulky equipment.  No need for a blackout. When I think of projectors, I think about the darkened cinema, and having to feel my way out anytime I want to visit the toilet or get more snacks. Home projectors don’t need you to do this. If you buy a projector with a high lumens figure, they work just fine in a room with surrounding ambient light. No tripping over the kids when I get up to refill my popcorn! Easy installation. Installing a projector is actually very simple. You don’t need a drill or a spirit measure. A good projector should work straight out of the box, placed on a flat surface with just it’s power lead and an HDMI cable. There are even some that with wireless connection kits, you can show whatever’s on your phone or PC beamed onto your wall or screen.  They’re affordable. Originally projectors were very expensive, and not something the average family could treat themselves to at all. As the technology has improved, however, prices have come down, and there are now lots more options on the market to suit a range of budgets. A projector is never going to be cheap, but there are more budget-friendly options available, that most families could either buy or at least afford to save up for.  A projector can be a really fun addition to the family home. They’re great for movie night, or for a gaming session together. If like us you love family time with a great movie, a projector can take your family movie night to the next level. Shop around for the best deal, and you can project onto a screen, a blank wall, or even a sheet. Swap your TV for a projector and bring the cinema home.  Disclosure: This is not a sponsored post.
