Mental Health Doesn’t Mean Suffering Alone, Even In A Pandemic

This post is now in the guidelines of the FTC Mental Health issues are on the rise lately and this is largely down to the fact that we are dealing with an unprecedented pandemic. In today’s society, we don’t always talk as much as we should and we need to know that mental health issues can lead to more difficult times, such as addiction and even depression. It may be that you need to look at checking yourself into a rehab center when these times are over, such as the Renaissance Recovery Center.  We live in a world fuelled by social media and the desire to look and do better that we forget that we have great lives already and probably people in it that love us. If you don’t, then there are always ways to reach out.  Sadly the world today has bred a generation of depressed and anxious people and mental health is at its worst. It is a very difficult situation and issue to combat without real help, but you should not feel that you are weak if you need some help. The need for more rehabilitation services is on the rise and it’s OK to reach out and say “I need help.” We all need to talk more at this time. If you have experienced some type of addiction, to either alcohol or prescription drugs, then you will know how difficult it can be to admit you have a problem but be very aware of those around you as they will pick up on what is happening and most likely will be the first ones to reach out to you. Many people drink over the recommended average per week, even those who do not have an alcohol issue. Even more now, people are feeling the need to turn to drink, as a way to get through isolation during the pandemic. If you are regularly drinking and this includes over 14 units of alcohol a week, it can cause some long term damage to your liver. Anything above these unit measurements is classed as dangerous. You may choose to drink to help you sleep, as sleeping can also be difficult at the moment but there are many natural options which are much healthier, such as herbal options.  Mental health can have a backlash on your physical health also, such as anxiety related symptoms which can cause an array of physical problems. Nervous problems can play havoc on your system and it’s good to nip them in the bud or at least be able to manage them before you end up feeling too sick to do anything. You may find that this is affecting your sleeping pattern, eating pattern, you may have migraines or sickness and generally feel weak and shaky.  Don’t suffer in silence, because that leads to further isolation which is what we do not need during this pandemic. If you feel you need to get more information on getting healthier and happier, reach out to someone or an organization. It can be daunting speaking out about your troubles but it will be so beneficial to you in the long run.  Disclosure: This is not a sponsored post. There are no affiliate links included in this post.
