In our mid twenties, we often go through this denial stage with our age, and we want to stay youthful and free forever. Getting older unfortunately is a natural part of growing up, and no matter how much we don’t want it, it is inevitable.  If you are in your mid twenties or thirties, here are some of the things you need to know about getting older.  You need to think of the future The older you get, the more risk you will face in terms of your health and financial stability. In the fledgling stages of adulthood, not many of us think about things such as Medicare Nationwide insurance, life insurance, or a will – however these are all things we want to consider as we grow. If you haven’t researched this stuff already, it’s time to get googling.  People will expect things from you  As you reach a certain age, you will start getting the same questions from everyone in your life. People will ask you when you are getting married, when you are having children, and what you want to achieve in the future. People expect things of you after a certain stage of you life, and unfortunately this is something you will need to deal with every day.  You won’t care Anxiety is a problem which afflicts many of us in our lifetimes and it is something which is rife in our younger years from teenagehood to adulthood. However, as you grow and live in the world for longer, you will become exposed to many problems and people who don’t get along with you. Over the years you will stop caring so much about what people think of you, and in fact, you may reach a stage in your life where you couldn’t care less. This is one of the benefits of growing up because it frees your mind from nagging doubt and allows you to be who you really are without apologies.  Your body will hurt  As you grow past the age of 26, the rate at which your body regenerates and creates new cells will drop below the rate at which cells die. This is the definition of the end of growth, and the start of dying. That may sound a little morbid, but it is a simple scientific fact and not really anything to worry about. It will however mean that as you grow older, your body will ache more, and you will be more likely to get injured. Make sure to look after yourself and don’t avoid the doctor’s if you need some help.  You’ll get stuck in a rut  The older you get and the more stable your life becomes, the more boring it will also become. If you want to make the most of your life and keep it exciting, you will have to work hard to dig yourself out of this rut with new experiences and hobbies. Take some time away during the year for a holiday, join a class, and consider getting a pet. Anything which can break you out of a monotonous cycle can be valuable for your well-being.
