When those telltale itchy flakes settle on your shoulders, then uh-oh… Dandruff strikes again. No one loves dandruff. What causes it though? Well, it can be the result of a dry scalp, or a skin condition called seborrheic dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, or a particularly common overgrowth of the fungus, malassezia. Rub Dead Sea Mud straight onto the scalp, covering every exposed area. Leave until it starts to dry, then wash out until the water runs clear.

In studies, when hair was shampooed with a solution contain just 5 percent Tea Tree Oil, the dandruff virtually disappeared after one wash. Use an all-natural shampoo blend – peel a lemon and a cucumber whizz them in a food processor until you get a smooth paste, at in a few drops of tea tree oil, then apply the runny mixture as a shampoo. Using this should significantly improve the severity of any dandruff.

Baking soda

Raid those kitchen store cupboards for a brilliant solution to dandruff – Baking Soda. Baking soda can eliminate the presence of fungi that reside in the scalp, causing skin to flake when they become overactive. Prepare to enjoy all the clean-feeling pleasures of an itch-free, flake-free scalp. To try the remarkably effective baking soda remedy, just wet your hair and scoop up some baking soda. Rub the baking soda into your scalp, covering as much of the skin as possible. When you have massaged it in well, rinse it with lots of water, without using a shampoo. The effect may not be instant and don’t worry if your hair seems dry at first – leave it for a couple of weeks and you should notice that your scalp produces its own natural oil, which leaves hair soft and dos not produce dandruff.

The astringent properties of lemon make it exceptionally good for cleansing and toning the scalp, as the acidity rebalances the pH of the scalp. Simply massage 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice into your scalp, until it is all absorbed and then rinse with water. After that, stir 1 teaspoon of the fresh juice into 1 cup of water and rinse your hair with it.
